The Hunt Buddy is a hunting resource directory operated by Allegheny Works LLC, a Pennsylvania limited liability company. Our website is located at thehuntbuddy.com. You can reach us at hello@thehuntbuddy.com.
Information We Collect
We collect information in two ways: information you give us directly, and information collected automatically when you use the site.
Information you provide: If you submit a business listing through our Get Listed form, we collect your business name, owner name, address, phone number, email address, website URL, and any notes you include about your services. This information is used solely to create and manage your listing on The Hunt Buddy.
Information collected automatically: When you visit the site, we use Google Analytics to collect anonymized usage data including pages visited, time on site, general geographic location (city/region level), device type, and referring website. This data does not identify you personally and is used only to understand how the site is being used so we can improve it.
How We Use Your Information
- To create and display your business listing in our directory
- To contact you about your listing or account
- To process payments through Stripe (we never see or store your credit card information — Stripe handles all payment processing)
- To improve the website based on aggregated, anonymized usage data
- To respond to inquiries sent to hello@thehuntbuddy.com
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services that may collect data as part of their normal operation:

- Stripe — payment processing for paid listings. We never receive or store your payment card details. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.

Cookies
We use cookies only through Google Analytics to understand site usage. These are analytics cookies and do not track you across other websites or store personally identifiable information. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Business Listing Data
Our directory includes publicly available business information such as names, addresses, and phone numbers sourced from public records. If you are a business owner and wish to update or remove your listing, contact us at hello@thehuntbuddy.com and we will address your request promptly.
Data Retention
We retain business listing information for as long as the listing is active. If you request removal of your listing, we will delete your information within 30 days. Analytics data is retained per Google Analytics' standard retention settings.
Your Rights
You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal information we hold about you. To make such a request, contact us at hello@thehuntbuddy.com. We will respond within 30 days.
Children's Privacy
The Hunt Buddy is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
